Digital Supply Chain Transformation
BriefTrace presented its Smart Contract powered by IoT technology at DSV event.

BriefTrace presented its Smart Contract powered by IoT technology at DSV event.

On January 3, 2018 IPL Forum held an event at DSV headquarters in Israel on the topic of innovation and creativity in supply chains. The event was dedicated to the future of smart supply chains.

Various pharmaceutical and logistics companies have attended the event, including Swissport, Bayer, Kuehne + Nagel, Teva and Perrigo. Tal Meshulam, BriefTrace’s VP Business Development  was honored to be one of the speakers in this important conference.

In his presentation, Meshulam covered the development of IoT in the supply chain, and the ways in which Big Data and analytics enable risk mitigation and improve performance. Afterwards, he showcased solutions for tracking sensitive shipments, monitoring temperature in real-time, alerting in cases of diverting from shipping lanes, delays in deliveries etc.

The final part of the presentation focused on smart contracts and BriefTrace’s unique Blockchain supported IoT. Meshulam explained why the company’s direct IoT to blockchain architecture is the perfect tool to activate smart contracts between trading partners. The smart contracts mechanism can enable payments to be transferred gradually and can include penalties for incidents like temperature excursions.

We are concluding another successful event for BriefTrace and looking forward to further expand our partnership with our friends at DSV.
