BriefTrace is an AI-powered news brief service that converts news articles into short, role-specific summaries with actionable next steps. The service is provided via a web application.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use BriefTrace
- If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
- By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements
4. Account and Sign-In
- You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when setting up your profile (role, interests).
- You may not use another person's account without permission.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy BriefTrace's AI-generated briefs in bulk
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload or transmit any malicious code or content
6. Intellectual Property
- The BriefTrace brand, design, and original content are owned by Mdot Technology.
- AI-generated brief summaries are produced by BriefTrace and may be shared for non-commercial purposes with attribution.
- Original news articles remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers. BriefTrace links to original sources and does not reproduce full articles.
7. Free Tier and Future Paid Features
- BriefTrace is currently free to use. No payment is required.
- We plan to introduce a paid Pro tier in the future. Existing users will be notified before any paid features are required.
- We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
BriefTrace is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated briefs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
BriefTrace is not a financial, legal, medical, or investment advisor. Nothing in the briefs constitutes professional advice. Always verify important information with qualified professionals.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mdot Technology (Shrikant Phutane) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of BriefTrace, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Third-Party Links
BriefTrace links to original news articles on third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those websites.
11. Termination
You may stop using BriefTrace at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason, with or without notice.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of BriefTrace after changes constitutes acceptance.
